Denver BAZAAR is a one-of-a-kind makers market, originating in the RiNo Art District in 2015.
Since 2015, Denver BAZAAR has been hailed as an "ongoing celebration of art, eats, and creativity." With a focus on shopping local, Denver BAZAAR has supported over 1,000 small businesses through weekend pop-up markets, weekly summer farmers markets, Holiday Markets and more. Denver BAZAAR is known for reimagining retail by revitalizing urban locations into thriving pop-up marketplaces that draw thousands of shoppers from the Denver Metro area. These pop-up markets connect shoppers to small businesses and reinforce the shopping and dining habits of the surrounding community with a focus on keeping currency local. Small businesses engage and interact with thousands of local shoppers to create new lifelong customers at each event. Vendors are also encouraged to network with their fellow small businesses to build lasting relationships in the local maker community. These events bring value to the Denver BAZAAR vendor community and the local neighborhood. Shoppers are encouraged to support local restaurants and food trucks, service businesses such as yoga studios and gyms, and more while visiting the markets in communities across Denver.
Josh Sampson started TheBigWonderful in 2014 as a summertime pop-up venue featuring the best in local music, craft beer and emerging food and craft vendors. It was an overnight success that drew instant attention from the small business community in Colorado. To keep Denver's craft vendor community active during the winter, he started Denver BAZAAR in early 2015. The original Friday Night BAZAAR opened in March 2015 and was Denver's first consistent night market, located two doors down from The Source in Denver's iconic RiNo Art District.
Denver BAZAAR emerged with a focus on creating commerce opportunities for existing and developing small businesses in a retail-focused environment. Denver BAZAAR events primarily feature handmade, fashion, craft and artisan food vendors, while the signature "Shop & Sip" drink tasting programs create the fun environment that locals know and love.
